Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 August 2026

Welcome to TaskGrower.

TaskGrower is a productivity app for planning tasks, building habits, and reflecting on what you got done. It is available as a website at https://www.taskgrower.com and as mobile apps for iOS and Android. These Terms of Service apply to all of them.

These terms are an agreement between you and Act Now Button Inc., an Ontario corporation operating as ByOne Studio, which operates TaskGrower. In these terms, "TaskGrower", "we", "us" and "our" mean Act Now Button Inc., and "you" and "your" mean the person using TaskGrower. By creating an account or using TaskGrower, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use TaskGrower.

Your account

You need an account to use TaskGrower. You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Apple or Google.

  • TaskGrower is not intended for children under 13. You may not create an account if you are under 13, and creating one is your confirmation that you are 13 or older.
  • Use an email address you control. We use it to sign you in, let you reset your password, and send you service messages.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app. See Ending your account below.

What TaskGrower does

TaskGrower lets you plan tasks for a day or a week, run focus timers, track repeating habits, and complete tasks to grow a daily growth that you can look back on in your reflections. We may change, add, or remove features over time as the product develops.

TaskGrower Plus

TaskGrower is free to use for tasks, habits, and syncing across your devices. TaskGrower Plus is a paid subscription that unlocks extras, including the community catalog, unlimited custom growth designs, and image uploads in the design builder.

Purchases of TaskGrower Plus on the mobile apps are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those stores, not TaskGrower, are the merchant for mobile purchases. Payment is handled under the store's own terms, and we never see or store your card details.

If you buy TaskGrower Plus on our website, the purchase is processed by RevenueCat's checkout with Stripe as the merchant of record. Stripe handles your payment under its own terms, and we never see or store your card details.

Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's subscription settings. If you subscribed on our website, cancel anytime from Settings → Manage, which opens your Link account with Stripe. Contacting TaskGrower or deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Where a free trial is offered, it applies to the annual plan only. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription and the store will charge you.

Refunds are handled by whichever store you bought through — Apple, Google, or Stripe — under their own refund policies. If you're stuck, email us and we'll point you to the right place.

Prices may change. If they do, we will give notice, and the new price applies to future renewal periods, not to a period you have already paid for.

If your Plus subscription ends, we never delete anything. You keep your account, tasks, habits, cloud sync, and any designs you earned or bought. You keep two active custom designs, and any extra custom designs become read only until you subscribe again. Days you have already lived keep rendering exactly as they were, including community catalog designs, but catalog designs cannot be chosen for new days while Plus is inactive.

User Content and the Community Catalog

You can create your own growth designs in TaskGrower, by drawing them in the app or, with Plus, by uploading images. What you create is yours.

Personal designs are private. A design you make is visible only to you unless you choose to submit it to the community catalog.

Submissions to the community catalog are screened before they are published. When you submit a design, TaskGrower takes an unchangeable snapshot of it and screens that snapshot before it can go live. Screening includes an automated safety classifier and an automated check that decodes QR codes and barcodes in your artwork. Anything the screening flags, and anything the screening cannot complete, is held for a person to review. Designs that publish automatically are also audited by a person afterwards. We may reject a submission, and we do not promise that any submission will be published, or published within any particular time.

You may not submit designs to the community catalog that contain:

  • Sexual or adult content, including nudity.
  • Hateful content, including slurs and attacks on protected groups.
  • Gore or graphic violence.
  • Copyrighted artwork or characters you do not have the rights to use.
  • Trademarks or logos you do not have permission to use.
  • Recognizable likenesses of celebrities or other real people.
  • QR codes, barcodes, or contact information such as phone numbers, email addresses, and web addresses.
  • Political campaign material.
  • Spam, including low effort duplicates and filler designs.

When you submit a design you confirm that you made the artwork or have the rights to it, and that it follows the rules above.

Reporting. Any signed in user can report a design in the community catalog. Once enough distinct users report the same design, it is hidden from the catalog automatically while we review it again. Reporting is the main way copyright, trademark, celebrity likeness, and similar claims reach us, because our automated screening does not detect them.

Hiding a creator. You can hide all designs from a creator you would rather not see. That takes effect immediately for you and does not affect anyone else.

What we may do. We may reject a submission, delist or remove a design from the community catalog, limit how many designs you can submit, or block your account from submitting, if we believe the content breaks these terms or the rules above. Delisting stops a design from being chosen for new days, while days that already used it keep rendering, so nobody loses their history. Removing the artwork itself is reserved for cases such as copyright takedowns. We keep a record of moderation decisions.

The license you give us

You keep ownership of everything you create in TaskGrower. We do not claim your artwork.

For designs you submit to the community catalog, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, display, and distribute that design inside TaskGrower, so that TaskGrower users can browse it and use it on their own days. That license also covers the copies we need in order to run the service, such as the screening snapshot, moderation records, and copies cached on users' devices.

That is the entire license. We do not use your designs in advertising, we do not sell them or license them to other companies, and we do not publish them outside TaskGrower.

The license lasts while your design is in the catalog, plus the time needed for people who already used it to keep seeing their own history. If you delete your account, or if we delist your design, it can no longer be chosen for new days, while days that already used it keep rendering.

For everything else you put into TaskGrower, such as task titles, habits, and private designs, we take no content license at all. We only handle that data to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

While using TaskGrower, do not:

  • Break the law or help anyone else break it.
  • Try to access another person's account or data.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or reverse engineer the service.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or bulk download catalog artwork.
  • Submit content on behalf of someone else without their permission.

Our content

The TaskGrower name, logo, app design, and the official growth designs we ship are ours. Please do not copy or reuse them without our permission.

Copyright and trademark complaints

If you believe a design in the community catalog infringes your copyright or trademark, report it from the design's detail sheet in the app, or contact us through the Feedback page. Tell us which design it is, what right you own, and why you believe it infringes. We act on reports we can verify, including delisting or removing the design. We do not mediate disputes between users.

Your privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app, on web and on mobile. Deleting your account permanently deletes your account and the data associated with it, including your tasks, habits, growths, and private designs. This cannot be undone.

Designs you shared to the community catalog are delisted rather than deleted, so that days other users have already lived keep rendering.

If you subscribed to TaskGrower Plus through an app store, deleting your TaskGrower account does not cancel that subscription. You need to cancel it separately in the store you subscribed through.

We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or where we need to for legal or security reasons.

Changes to TaskGrower and to these terms

We may change TaskGrower and we may update these terms. When we make a material change to these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using TaskGrower after a change, you accept the updated terms.
